"His films are creative, intentional, and each carries an important message or theme. His intentionality allows his films to address the 'otherness' that Tarantino and Scorsese so skillfully embed in their films."
- Margaret Devine, teacher at Warren Hills Regional High School

Joseph Anthony Mosca was born on January 30, 2006 in Hackettstown, NJ. He grew up with an extreme disinterest in movies, and had no concept of "filmmaking." It wasn't until his sophomore year in high school, that Joey took Film Design I, partially interested by video editing. In the class, he met the talented, industry-veteran, Richard Patricia, who immediately pulled Joey to the side, amongst the crowd of many disinterested students. Joey wrote his first short film screenplay in the class, dishing out three more, adapting two into short films. The same year, he won the "Outstanding Achievement" Award for Film Design I at Warren Hills Regional High School.
Confidently, two years later, Joey's comprised over twenty short film scripts, winning the "Rising Star" Award at the Princeton Film Festival (PFF), two Merit Awards for NJ's "PTA Reflections" contest ('22,'23), and the "Outstanding Achievement" Award for Honors Film Design III. Joey lives, breathes, and soaks-in as much cinema as he possibly can in-search of one very important feeling-- expression.
Currently, he's wrapping pre-production on another short, set to be shot in Brooklyn, NY, dialogue-spoken entirely in-German, and handling the sensitive, yet provoking topic of mental health. The film is to be shot April 19th and 20th.
He's also writing his first feature film.

"Mosca skillfully sets the tone of the environment, enveloping viewers in a world where time moves swiftly."
"In conclusion, 2060 is a cinematic tour de force that delves into the darkest recesses of the mind, leaving a lasting impression on viewers long after the credits roll. Joseph A. Mosca's visionary direction and meticulous attention to detail ensure that 2060 is a film that transcends genre conventions, offering a thought-provoking exploration of the human condition."
"Mosca's well-structured usage of songs and clips elevates the film's quality, enhancing its emotional impact and providing temporary answers to the lifelong struggle depicted on screen. As the quote suggests, "We do it because it makes us feel in control of an out-of-control universe," 2060 confronts themes of powerlessness and the human desire for control in the face of overwhelming chaos."
